Queues Flash 1|2013

Dear Reader,

weather conditions, traffic congestions, delays … many external and internal factors make the prediction of passenger arrival at served points very hard.

The lack of suitable planning methods leaves “fire fighting” as the standard procedure to cope with uncertainty. Short-term employee allocation to service points like security, baggage drop, check-in and the immigration is stressful for employees, unproductive and expensive for organizations and leaves passengers with bad service.

New Projects

We are very proud to report the installation of Qmetrix at a very outstanding location: Dubai International Airport (DXB) with more than 25 queues in the check-in and transit area.

There is also a re-launch that makes us very happy: Vienna International Airport (VIE) with eight counters in the beautifully refurbished Check-in 1 and 16 counters in the brand new Check-in 3 Terminal.

In 2013, Qmetrix will go live at the first airport in the US. Read more about this and other new projects in one of our next Queues Flashes.
